Andrea Castro is a visual artist that lives and works in Majorca, Spain. With a strong interest in portraiture and human interactions, her work focuses on telling a story through visual language. To do that Castro creates fictional characters to develop and idea, thought or emotion. As she works and the idea becomes clearer, those concepts start to appear as loose brushstrokes that give expression and dynamism to the painting. Sometimes textiles elements such as beads or embroidery are added to the work, influence Castro acquired from studying Fashion Design. Castro’s work has been featured in several art magazines such as Juxtapoz, Ignant, Bizarre, etc. Her paintings are owned by collectors from all over the world.
